The MASTECH MS6818 Underground Wire Cable Metal Pipe Locator Detector Tester consists of a signal transmitter and a receiver, widely used in the construction and maintenance of communication cables, power cables, metal pipes, and much more. Current and voltage conducting cables, electrical circuits,  conduits, water and heating pipelines, fuses, switches can all be located. Short circuits and interruptions of assorted lines and cables can be detected. Even better, the detection is possible not only underground but also in walls and concrete.
