This is more than just a vibration pen – the Fluke 805FC is a full vibration meter that is designed to give maintenance professionals detailed, high accuracy measurements of vibration to determine the status of things such as chillers, fans, cooling tower drives, centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, air compressors, blowers, gearboxes, machine tools and many other types of machinery.

The 805FC uses a direct connection sensor in order to calculate vibration results. This unique sensor has been designed to provide measurements that are as accurate as possible, filtering out the effects caused by device angle or contact pressure to provide detailed vibration measurement results. The sensor also allows the meter to carry out much more than just standard vibration measurements; it is also possible to use the 805FC to measure specific variable like bearing condition and the overall contact temperature.

When measurements are taken using this vibration meter a four-level scale shows the user quickly how severe a problem might be. Built-in text alerts also show at a glance whether the machinery is operating at good, satisfactory, unsatisfactory or unacceptable levels of vibration and this tester’s wide range of frequencies (10 to 1000Hz and 4000 to 20000Hz) allowing it to be used with most different types of machinery.

805/ES External Vibration Sensor

The Fluke 805/ES External Vibration Sensor provides access to difficult-to-reach locations such as behind machine guards or enclosures. It is also useful in situations where it is difficult to apply sufficient manual pressure using the Fluke 805/ 805 FC Vibration Meter.

As such, the Fluke 805/ES External Vibration Sensor features a low-profile, 90° sensor body for accessing tight spots, and a rugged, coiled cable that can be extended to 7ft and will contract as necessary to minimise dangling. Moreover, the rugged, sealed cable connector is equipped with strain relief and is designed to reduce cable wear.

In addition to this, the Fluke 805/ES External Vibration Sensor includes a powerful, removable ‘U’-shaped magnet which enables direct attachment to a flat or curved measurement surface, a mounting pad, or a threaded hole on a piece of equipment.

The Fluke 805/ES External Vibration Sensor is connected to the Fluke 805/ 805 FC Vibration Meter via its SMB connector.
